YOGANDO

Yogando is a traditional Lucanian-inspired game combining yoga, storytelling, and teamwork. Using illustrated cards of yoga postures, participants engage in three game variations:

  1. Statues – One team shows cards and the other team attempts to perform the postures. Points are awarded for correct execution.

  2. Guess Who – One team performs a posture from a card while the other team guesses its name. Points are awarded for correct guesses.

  3. Tell Me a Yoga Story – Teams use yoga postures to enact characters in a story, with the opposing team performing the corresponding poses as the story unfolds. Points are assigned based on participation and accuracy.

Yogando can be adapted for people with disabilities by modifying postures to match individual abilities, using supports such as chairs, walls, straps, or assistants to ensure safety and accessibility. The game emphasizes creativity, teamwork, and interaction between disabled and able-bodied participants. Assistants can help participants perform postures, but everyone must respect personal limitations and avoid forcing movements. The game fosters inclusion, imagination, coordination, and fun in a supportive environment.
