PILJKANJE

Piljkanje is a traditional Balkan game that develops hand-eye coordination and strategic thinking. Players aim to collect as many small colored balls as possible while a larger ball is in play, with its bounce marking the time limit for collection. Each small ball has a point value: white for 1 point, orange for 2 points, and green for 3 points. The turn ends after the larger ball bounces twice, and the player or team with the highest total points wins. The game is flexible, allowing adjustments to the number of balls, the collection method, and rules to suit different ages and abilities. For participants with mobility challenges, adaptations such as fewer balls, raised surfaces, or assistive tools for picking up balls can be used. Piljkanje can be played individually or in teams, and its simple mechanics make it engaging for both children and adults.
