FINNISH SKITLES

Finnish Skittles, also known as Mölkky, is a modern adaptation of the traditional Karelian game kyykkä. Created in the 1990s in Finland, it uses 12 numbered wooden pins and a throwing pin. Players aim to score exactly 50 points by knocking over pins—getting either the number of knocked pins or the number on a single pin. It’s a relaxed game that values precision over power and works well in casual or competitive settings. It’s highly inclusive and can be adapted for wheelchair users (e.g., closer throwing lines) or visually impaired players (e.g., using bright or sound-enhanced pins). Suitable for all ages and abilities.
