Dis+Abled SPORT INCLUDO

Inkludo is an inclusive and adaptable target-throwing game invented by children with autism in Split, Croatia. Players take turns throwing various objects—such as boccia balls, bean bags, or soft toys—into colored rings on the floor, earning points according to each ring’s color. The game promotes accuracy, hand-eye coordination, concentration, and social interaction, and is suitable for individual or team play. Inkludo can be adapted for participants with different abilities by using objects of varied size, weight, and texture, providing tactile or auditory cues, adjusting the distance to the rings, and allowing throws from seated or standing positions. Assistive devices, ramps, or pushers can help those with limited mobility or strength, while visual markers and high-contrast equipment support players with visual impairments. Flexible scoring, time limits, and inclusive rules ensure that all participants can enjoy the game, making Inkludo a fun, engaging, and socially enriching activity.
