Sitting volleyball is an adapted version of traditional volleyball, played on a smaller court with a lower net. Players must maintain contact with the floor (usually with their buttocks) throughout the game. Blocking serves is allowed, and movement is done using the arms. It’s highly integrative — people with and without disabilities play together by the same rules. The game values teamwork, technique, and tactical thinking over physical advantage. It’s often featured at the Paralympics and is open to a wide range of participants, including those with various musculoskeletal conditions.
