RINGO

Polish Ringo was invented in the 1950s by fencer Włodzimierz Strzyżewski. The game involves throwing a rubber ring over a net or string into the opponent’s half of the court. Played one-on-one or in teams of 2–3, the goal is to land the ring on the opposing side or force an error. Only one hand is used for catching and throwing, and players must remain stationary while holding the ring. Played indoors or outdoors, it’s a low-cost, inclusive, and fun activity. Adaptations for wheelchair users include using assistants, a flat pitch, and lowering the net; for visually impaired players, use brightly colored or sound-equipped rings and nets.
